I
never get tired of looking at this particular mineral species from Bolivia!
I took many pictures to give you a good look at the perfection of this
fine specimen. Consists of one "whopping " main Vivianite
crystal, along with a couple of smaller inter grown ones. Perfect termination,
damage free, and top quality color! During a photo shoot, these Vivianite
tend to reflect off the lighting, so I shot from many different angles,
and without any backlighting, to make sure you can really see how naturally
rich, gemmy, and translucent the main crystal is. The contrast of the
altered Red Sandstone matrix, and emerald green Vivianite is so aesthetically
awesome! The Sandstone matrix is free of sulphides making them stable
-- thus no degeneration of color and crystal. This is the biggest piece
I have to offer, and this cabinet size beauty is ready to grace your
collection! |

Interesting
"V" formation of multiple well terminated Vivianite crystals,
surrounded by altered red sandstone matrix. Very gemmy with great color,
lustrous, and damage free. Exhibits nice transparency with interesting
internal patterns under the lighting. A very fine and attractive miniature. |

Another
nice grouping of mostly inter grown crystals, with some matrix. Terminations
are very sharp, except one side terminates with some matrix, but is
not damaged. Classic emerald green color, that has glassy, and gemmy
qualities. Overall, a very wonderful miniature! |

PLEASE
NOTE: All of the photographs are not to scale. Some are enlarged to
give you an accurate and an in depth view of all the details for you
to see. Please always refer to specimen size in all my listings for
the actual size, as this is what the final price is based on. Although
picture colors can vary slightly from browsers to computers, I go to
great lengths in photographing all mineral specimens with complete color
accuracy, without any retouching whatsoever! My photo studio lighting
consists of 4800K fluorescent lighting, which simulates the wavelengths
of daylight. In some cases for a different effect I have utilized regular
incandescent lighting to provide a different effect. If a specimen has
knowingly been repaired, I will always disclose this information to
you. |
