Thomas Range Topaz on Rhyolite Matrix # UT04Check out this super high quality crystal cluster on a Rhyolite matrix. Comprised of two larger thick crystals, plus a smaller one, this excellent specimen from a recent find exhibits all the desirable deep sherry color. Wonderful terminations throughout. This beauty-of-a-gem toenail specimen, arrives from the famous locale in Utah. Razor sharp facets throughout, with very high clarity, luster, and some very interesting inclusions. Speaking of famous locales. I was very fortunate to procure several of these awesome specimens last summer of 2010 from my real good friend, and colleague that worked on the recent extensive mining project at Maynard's Claim. These were mined in 2009, and the word is they when they were done, they had to cover up the site, and reseed it according to the terms required by the State of Utah. It is highly unlikely, due to the high cost of a serious mining venture like this, that such an effort will never be made again...at least not in the foreseeable future! Here is an opportunity for you to add a quality piece to your collection. I took several pictures 360º to give you an idea of how gorgeous it is. Still, it is that much better in person. Unusual bundle of gemmy crystals for the species. Just a dazzling, gem quality, specimen! This is a real jewel! |

A
beautiful cluster of over 6 larger crystals with several smaller ones,
along with Rhyolite. This one was slightly trickier to photograph with
all the reflecting light, bouncing back and forth from crystal to crystal.
But I assure you that the sherry color is just as wonderful as in specimen
#UT01 listed above. This attractive and gemmy miniature has perfect
terminations, and displays very well. |

NOTE: All of the photographs are not to scale. Some are enlarged to
give you an accurate and an in depth view of all the details for you
to see. Please always refer to specimen size in all my listings for
the actual size, as this is what the final price is based on. Although
picture colors can vary slightly from browsers to computers, I go to
great lengths in photographing all mineral specimens with complete color
accuracy, without any retouching whatsoever! My photo studio lighting
consists of 4800K fluorescent lighting, which simulates the wavelengths
of daylight. In some cases for a different effect I have utilized regular
incandescent lighting to provide a different effect. If a specimen has
knowingly been repaired, I will always disclose this information to
