These three beautiful Native (crystallized) Gold specimens listed below, come from the famous Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer County, California. Each one displays a very unique quality. As you are probably aware of, the price of gold has been escalating, so these specimens are worth their weight in Gold! Ha! Actually, even more so, as they are in their natural state, combined with a milky Quartz matrix. These specimens are very high quality in color, crystal formations, and natural design. |
Gold on Quartz Matrix # GQ01
I have dubbed this gorgeous thumbnail specimen "Dancing Eagle". I think you can see what I mean upon examining the pictures below. The lustrous leaf crystals spread out like wings, from the center of what resembles the Eagle's head and body! Sits up on its own and displays beautifully. One of the "wings" displays nice trigonal crystal formations! This is one incredible thumbnail! Click on photos to enlarge |

Native Gold on Quartz Matrix # GQ02
Superb miniature of Native Gold on Quartz. The crystallized structure of the Gold bridges together several pieces of Quartz, that sit on top of the base of a larger piece of Quartz. Very aesthetic, sculptural like piece. Click on photos to enlarge |

Gold on Quartz Matrix # GQ03
Beautiful Gold crystals flaring of the top of a quartz matrix. The Quartz matrix has some darker elements throughout, making a wonderful contrast with the milky quartz, and metallic Gold coloring. Very attractive miniature! Click on photos to enlarge |

PLEASE
NOTE: All of the photographs are not to scale. Some are enlarged to
give you an accurate and an in depth view of all the details for you
to see. Please always refer to specimen size in all my listings for
the actual size, as this is what the final price is based on. Although
picture colors can vary slightly from browsers to computers, I go to
great lengths in photographing all mineral specimens with complete color
accuracy, without any retouching whatsoever! My photo studio lighting
consists of 4800K fluorescent lighting, which simulates the wavelengths
of daylight. In some cases for a different effect I have utilized regular
incandescent lighting to provide a different effect. If a specimen has
knowingly been repaired, I will always disclose this information to
you. |
